Hello! My name is Siyin Tse. I am a UX design student at General Assembly.
I received my BFA in Illustration from the Maryland Institute College of Art where I studied story, researched cultural contexts, synthesized historically accurate solutions and delivered high-fidelity artifacts in the form of character designs, props, and environments. I apply that narrative background to my UX design process. Except in the place of fictional characters, I’m designing in the service of real people with the chance to make an impact in their stories. And that is no less magical to me than fantasy and science fiction.
Art and Technology have the power to bring people together. I want to improve the lives of others, to build bridges not walls, and inspire others to do the same. I have been looking for that perfect job that will me allow me to do these things.
That’s what drew me to user experience design. With my multicultural background, drawing superpowers, and mission to serve others, I know I can be a fantastic UX designer.
